A college look.

   Oxfords for Oxford.

This is exactly the kind of clothing I would be wearing if I was studying in one of my dream colleges. Ideally, in England. In one of those beautiful universities that we always watch in the movies. Where students are going off to classes, enjoying some rest on the lawn before and after. Where they have those huge libraries that you can lose (and, strangely, find at the same time) yourself into. Where the routine of studying becomes a little easier to handle when you spend it in a place like this.
Well, my everyday uniform would consist of a shirt, not nessecerily plaid, but always buttoned-up, my eyeglasses and a pair of oxfords. (Quick trivia: Oxford shoes are also called Balmorals, but because they were most associated with college men, they took on the name of Oxford University.) And the-cutest-backpack-ever. With little red hearts on. If it wasn't a backpack, it would be a satchel. A leather one, propably in deep blue. And maybe a trench coat or a montgomery. And some geek tights. And... Well, I can seriously do this all day.
If you are wondering,  as a teenager, I would always imagining of going abroad to study english literature. Have you ever had similar dreams?

Blue Jeans.

   Yellow leaves.

It is weird how fall seems to come rather late in Greece. In the midst of October, I am looking for trees with yellow leaves around me, but in vain. Summer is dominant here, therefore I find it difficult to enter the fall mood (watching the rain through a window, wearing wellies and my dreamy umbrella, photographing the idyllic scenery) while my daily uniform consists of T-shirts until mid November. These photos were taken two weeks ago, when, as you can see, my wish finally came true!

Being warm during winter is my priority. Well, being fashionable, too. This amazing denim shirt  is the latest addition to my wardrobe , which  is steadily growing and growing. Have you noticed the little roses on it? After wearing it again and again, I wonder how I managed so long without a denim shirt! Now that I am thinking about it, this whole outfit is created of pieces I wear very often; my oldie but always favorite pencil skirt, the coziest cardigan ever, these tights that have velvet polka dots (really!) and my go-to booties for the season... Well, let me tattle no more. Enjoy the pictures!

   New Beginnings.

School bells rang today and school period officially started!  All new beginnings -including this one- they involve a lot of enthusiasm, but also agony, especially in times like this we are experiencing. Great disappointment and frustration comes when something is not exactly what you imagined or wished for, I know. But all we can do is look at the positive side of things and try to make the best of them. "When life gives you lemons, make some lemonade" - not always easy but at least I want to give it a shot.

Sorry if I bumped you, dear readers, I just needed to say these things out loud. Now, to the outfit! This is the official debut of my new favorite shoes! Miu Miu taffeta bow pumps was the one shoe that I was craving for all season- so you can picture my happy face when I got the very last pair during the sales, 30% down on the original price! I must say I am not a big fan of pointy toes -I love the romantic feeling of a rounded toe- but the plaid print and the bows on the back, made these shoes irresistable. And, as you can see, I decided to follow the tradition and go with a school theme like I did last year, here. As for the rest outfit, all I need to say is that it is totally made out of old pieces that I never stop wearing- my blue cardigan and the shirt are astandard pieces when it comes to work wear. Enough with the talking. Enjoy some shoe candy:

Too School for Cool.

I am going to school! Metaphorically and literally!

I have to say that this post turned out to be one of my favorites since I started blogging. I loved the fact that it is surrounded by a theme, I loved the photoshoot, and of course the outfit! I have always adored geek eyeglasses, and when they did a come back in fashion, I was completely determined to get a pair! Today, I own two pairs, a blue one (here) and this black one. If only I could have more! I think they look pretty good paired with these palazzo polka dot pants, the pussybow blouse and, last but not least, my beloved mary-janes. The whole outfit is 40's inspired- I was really impressed by all the 40's ensemble of Miu Miu's F/W 2011-2012 collection. Hope you like it, too! Let me know what you think. Happy School Year!

Marshmallows And Jellies.

Yesterday was Harry Potter's 7 night! What a joy! Isn't it beautiful when you get enthusiased about little things like your favorite movie hiitting the cinemas? I love that feeling! I also love marshmallows and jellies! (this explains the title, as well.)

I am wearing my already-a-favorite hooded plaid jacket I got from .lak at the begining of the season (that I referred about posting it a few days ago, here).  I heart it. It is so cosy and warm, and so comfy.
