In The Spirit Of Tommorow's "battle".

...Don't tell me that you cannot figure out which "battle" I am referring to.I am talking of course about the combat that will take place tomorrow morning at the field of  H & M where fashionistas are expected to fight like never before in order to obtain the piece that they are longing for. So, although it is pretty certain that I will not make it soon enough to the store because I have to work, I decided not to let myself be disappointed. In that spirit, I said to myself  "why not make a post with Sonia Rykiel's collection for H & M that was launched last year?". And so I am.

 

    This look kind of reminds me both Marc Jacobs's Spring/Summer 2010 collection with the gigantic bows paired with crazy patterns  and Sonia Rykiel's Autumn/ Winter 2010-11 collection with the famous pon-pons.

Marshmallows And Jellies.

   Yesterday was Harry Potter's 7 night! What a joy! Isn't it beautiful when you get enthusiased about little things like your favorite movie hiitting the cinemas? I love that feeling! I also love marshmallows and jellies! (this explains the title, as well.)

   I am wearing my already-a-favorite hooded plaid jacket I got from .lak at the begining of the season (that I referred about posting it a few days ago, here).  I heart it. It is so cosy and warm, and so comfy.

.lak Fashion Show F/W 2010-2011

   Yesterday was a big day for .lak lovers. The fashion show took place at 9 p.m. and what most impressed me was the huge attendance. Famous faces walking by, loud music, big sponsors surrounded this big party. 

   The collection had all the familiar shapes and colours that I love about .lak. Greys, worn in everyday sweatpants but also in evening wear, plaid beautifully structured, pieces with unorthodox cuts, tight and losse forms at the same time, splashes of red and yellow...Every season I find myself  being curious about the new clothes of the line. And every season I spot one or two pieces at least that I totally fall in love with and feel I have to have them. (For this season, I already have my hand on one of the plaid pieces of the show! Posting it very very soon here!)

   I also liked the nature-concept of the show. All the outfits were decorated with symbols of the wood, like the deer buckhorn, or had to do with horse-riding. Above all, though, there was the "Adam and Eve" theme, with a forbidden fruit hanging from the ceiling during the whole show. And the story was fulfilled again, with Eve grabbing and eating the apple.

   I wore one of my favorite wardrobe pieces (hmm, I get the impression that I say this about every clothing piece I own, lately). This .lak coat that I purchased two years ago. The flowiness of it is really something. And since my outfit came out very dark, I accessorised it with a bright pink bow headband.

40's Inspired.

   I have always admired the way women expressed themselves in different ways through the different decades. This is an outfit inspired by the 40's.

   I am also wearing my new pants and feather bag I ordered from asos. Although I am more than happy for owning these pieces right now, I have to say that my experience of ordering from asos was not pleasant at all. The order was extremely delayed and finally asos people told us that the order was lost! So, we were refunded our money but we had to re-order the stuff, that, thankfully, were delivered on the due-day.

H & M New Collections Supporting A Good Cause.

   I love h & m! The new Holiday collection comes in stores this week. The festive pieces as well as the everyday ones, are trully a holiday treat, especially on those prices! Of course, we do not forget our appointment on 23rd of November, when Lanvin's collection for the brand hits the stores. 

   But, why not doing a good deed, whilst your shopping spree? Don't forget to buy some UNICEF / h & m stickers before leaving the store and support children's right to clean water.Then use them to decorate your gifts and greeting cards for the coming-soon-Christmas! :)
