Love is in the ἔαρ.

 

Playing with words.

   "ἔαρ" in ancient greek means "spring". Apart form that, it fortunately happens to be homonymous (= being heard the same) with the english word "air", so I decided to use this -very common in Greece- play with words. Well, love is in the air, especially during spring. That' s why this is my favorite season of all· nature with its' blooming makes us bloom, too. I find myself to be more optimistic about everything, daydream more often and see things with a different eye.

    That is, of course, when spring actually is here, with its' warmth and sun... After maaany weeks in which it seemed that it has lost its' way, I can finally say those long-desired words: "Spring is here!" (any rumors of me jumping on my bed while saying this, are definitely untrue.)

   Let's talk style. It's early December already and this mild weather consents to bare legs instead of the nude tights that I shamelessly loathe. Don't get me wrong- I love opaque tights, tights with hearts, polka dots and flowers, but nude? No thanks! I think nude tights go to that "forbidden-clothing chest" of mine, along with cowboy boots, military camouflage print and transparent plastic bra straps. Well, everybody has their do's and dont's and I just layed out a bunch of them... It's kind of refreshing really! 

   What kind of clothing do you hate? Come on, speak up!

Back to the city.

 
 
    Little floral dress. 

   September is already coming to its' end and I have been postponing this post for a while now. Maybe it was the fact that I didn't want summer to be officially over. Maybe the overall feeling of these days, which, sadly, is not what I have been wishing for. Changes and a bleak forecast in the job area are to be blamed for this September's mood. But, what I am realising more and more these days, is the need to find joy in the simple moments. Oh, and definitely seize the day. Be happy with what you are experiencing right now. 

   My source of joy was he fact that I started redecorating my room, little by little- something I have been planning for ages but never actually got to do. The first step was to buy a nice bookcase in order to organize all my 'school stuff'. During this cleanup, I sort of felt like some of my worries were also washed up. It was like a small burden set aside for a while. Cleaning and organizing occessionaly have that inner impact. Have you ever felt this way? Next step, making small decorating changes, as you may have seen in Red Rose Cheeks' facebook page. 

   Of course, a full of blossoms, little black dress can brighten up your day a liiitle bit more! Especially if it doesn't hurt your pocket, too ;)

Jump!

   Here is my first outfit post from Italy. We found this beautiful spot to shoot our photographs and I thought about trying one 'classic' blogging pose...the 'jump'! Every blogger who respects themselves has done the 'jump' at least once in their blogging life. In spite the lack of originality, I really like the effect of the 'jump'. It makes photos look instant happy, whimsical and jubilant. Still, it was difficult to capture the photographic moment, because of me, laughing about...all the time! 

   I am also holding my lovely new wallet, which I purchased in a small, estimated since 1931, boutique in Siena, Tuscany, named 'Falchini', which made my purchase far more memorable and important to me. I just love it when people compliment on something I wear and I have the chance to tell them "Well, it's from Siena!". It is also an anniversary gift from the man behind the camera, so it is really precious to me.
