   Yellow leaves. 

   It is weird how fall seems to come rather late in Greece. In the midst of October, I am looking for trees with yellow leaves around me, but in vain. Summer is dominant here, therefore I find it difficult to enter the fall mood (watching the rain through a window, wearing wellies and my dreamy umbrella, photographing the idyllic scenery) while my daily uniform consists of T-shirts until mid November. These photos were taken two weeks ago, when, as you can see, my wish finally came true!

   Being warm during winter is my priority. Well, being fashionable, too. This amazing denim shirt  is the latest addition to my wardrobe , which  is steadily growing and growing. Have you noticed the little roses on it? After wearing it again and again, I wonder how I managed so long without a denim shirt! Now that I am thinking about it, this whole outfit is created of pieces I wear very often; my oldie but always favorite pencil skirt, the coziest cardigan ever, these tights that have velvet polka dots (really!) and my go-to booties for the season... Well, let me tattle no more. Enjoy the pictures!

My heart belongs to...40's.

   Although I recognise I am a 50's type of girl, sometimes I find myself so allured by the 40's, the era of the femme fatales, the pencil skirts, the mary janes with the socks...a dark but oh so dazzling time. How could I not to, with Miu Miu striking again for this season?

Too School for Cool.

   I am going to school! Metaphorically and literally!

   I have to say that this post turned out to be one of my favorites since I started blogging. I loved the fact that it is surrounded by a theme, I loved the photoshoot, and of course the outfit! I have always adored geek eyeglasses, and when they did a come back in fashion, I was completely determined to get a pair! Today, I own two pairs, a blue one (here) and this black one. If only I could have more! I think they look pretty good paired with these palazzo polka dot pants, the pussybow blouse and, last but not least, my beloved mary-janes. The whole outfit is 40's inspired- I was really impressed by all the 40's ensemble of Miu Miu's F/W 2011-2012 collection. Hope you like it, too! Let me know what you think. Happy School Year!

Ariel.

   ...aka the Little Mermaid. Now, you are probably wondering what does Ariel have to do with a not-so-much-of a-sea-setting. Well, the answer would be "nothing", except for the fact that one of my 7 year old students back at our school days well-observed that "with this red hair and these colourful clothes you look like Ariel- the little mermaid"! Wow! It is amazing what a child's imagination can create out of nowhere!

   Once again, my hair is braided! Well, you will not see me wearing this hairstyle again any time soon, as I am leaving today for Chios to visit a special friend and, under normal circumstances, I won't be posting for several days. Have a great weekend and see you soon!

   ...Well, thinking about happy moments like the one described above, is vital during these hard times.

Let's Just Stay In Tonight.

... But "in" doesn't  necessarily mean pyjamas and dvd's. When a special occasion arrives, you can choose staying in for a change and celebrate more privately. But no matter how homy the night is, dressing for the occassion is whole other thing. I love dressing up nicely for nights including special home-cooked meals, music playing, candles at a corner or two and some love.

Back To School.

...Strange to say this now, as the new school year has already begun for me, a week now. But, I was in the mood for some student-like clothing, with navy blue, polka dots, preppy collars, bows and pearls. It kind of reminded me of Alexa Chung's style, hmm?
