Welcome, Autumn.

A text without the word ‘summer’ in it. 

   Themed photoshoots…always a favorite. It’s amazing what some props (in this case, a book) and some natural light can do. I was waiting for the right time to post these photos, and this gloomy Sunday seemed most appropriate. Athens got chilly all of a sudden, and it feels great! I am only looking forward to rainy afternoons, crawling in bed, reading Harry Potter and keeping warm with a hot cup of chocolate aside.

  Under other circumstances, a text without the word ‘summer’ in it, would seem unimaginable. And yet, it happened. I just looove autumn :)

  A skirt named after a fish. 

   Yeap, that's the name of this skirt. Reminding me of the greek summer, soon to be over, sadly. But, no need to cry. September is coming and although this means the end of this magic season called 'summer', it happens to also mean new beginnings, at least for me. Directly associated with the beginning of school, since I was a child and up until now, September always gives me this weird, bittesweet feeling. And I think, I think, I am almost looking forward to it. Well, the fact that it comes along with the shopping of brand new stationery and school supplies, may have a little to do with my excitement. I am one of those geeks.

   Talking about school, these shoes were the most comfortable at work for me. Have you tried the espadrilles trend or are you not very fond of them? I wasn't a big fan either at first, but I decided to try them out, and as it turns out, I did well. They are far more comfy than ballet flats (a sad confession of a ballet flat maniac) and feet really breath better in them. Sure, they may not be the prettiest shoe to look at, but if your are looking for a work-suitable shoe, you should consider them.

Too School for Cool.

   I am going to school! Metaphorically and literally!

   I have to say that this post turned out to be one of my favorites since I started blogging. I loved the fact that it is surrounded by a theme, I loved the photoshoot, and of course the outfit! I have always adored geek eyeglasses, and when they did a come back in fashion, I was completely determined to get a pair! Today, I own two pairs, a blue one (here) and this black one. If only I could have more! I think they look pretty good paired with these palazzo polka dot pants, the pussybow blouse and, last but not least, my beloved mary-janes. The whole outfit is 40's inspired- I was really impressed by all the 40's ensemble of Miu Miu's F/W 2011-2012 collection. Hope you like it, too! Let me know what you think. Happy School Year!
